This article is a long one but should be read by all!!! I am tired of so many relatives and friends losing money to these monsters!!! If someone starts asking for personal info on the call hang up!!! Don't call the numbers they give you, call the actual number on the back of your card or your local bank to verify with them if they need you! Be forewarned!!! I used to like the calls from the IRS man with the Jamaican accent telling me how much trouble I was in.
These people are really insidious, all need to be on guard, thanks for posting.

I get (on average) 20 to 25 of these calls EVERY MONTH. Thankfully, since signing up for NomoRobo (.com) through AT&T over 2/3 of these incoming calls ring just once and then are immediately terminated (actually diverted to the NomoRobo servers). That eliminates all the buttheads who are calling 100 numbers simultaneously hoping for someone to pick up. For all the other calls that ring more than once, my ongoing basic philosophy, which I started about three years ago, is to never even pick up a call from a number on Caller ID I do not know with 100% certainty!
Great article, Joe. I just wish these animals could all be put away for life no matter what country they are from...yes, I'm harsh!!!

I recently acquired a new home number through the cable company. That number keeps getting calls evidently looking for someone who previously had the number. Sometimes I answer and tell the people that the number no longer belongs to that person, and for them to stop calling me!!

Generally I never answer these calls but sometimes, well, lets just say it gets a little weird. On occasion there is various grunting noises and animal sounds and other times I sing to them. None of them seem to like Waltzing Matilda, The Yellow Rose of Texas or the Tipperary Song. Huh, go figure???

I keep getting one in the Chinese language which I cannot understand of course. These people are also violating the No Call List and yet there seems to be no way to get them held accountable or make them stop. Otherwise, I don't get any of those on my cell. Only the Chinese language one. All others go straight to my landline where the machine picks them up and I delete them there.
