when I was in my teens ( 1980s ) every time you turned the news on the TV these things seemed to be everywhere .

during the "troubles" in Northern Ireland they were developed to be used by the british army as a lightly armoured veihcle , armoured against home made nail bombs , petrol bombs etc

the plan is to build one from a Italeri 109" series 3 Landrover kit

the body is in 2 halves top and bottom halves with the windscreen being a seperate part , I've cut the door tops from the top half and am going to fit them to the bottom half along with the screen as I think it will be easier to build this way .

I have trimmed some of the detail bits away thatwill be in the way of the armour , now to get busy with the sheet styrene .

Those who say it cannot be done should not interrupt the people doing it
