Are you sure you haven't used up your picture quota on photobucket, i did once (i think) pics wouldn't load but did after i deleated a load of others, unless photobucket's re-thought their limit policy,

What i'm doing is clicking on the 'Insert Image' button and pasting in the link from Photobucket. I tried all the different links, URL - direct link etc etc to no avail. I also deleted a bunch of old images to ensure I wasn't above any limit but no joy.

OK what i'm doing to load pics to lets say this site is first open up your new thread or reply on here, either add your text or do it after loading pics, dont matter, left click the "minimise" box (top R/H center square, then click on and hold on the blue bar at the top and you can drag the page across to the right or bottom, then click on you photobucket album, get the album with the pics you want, again left click on the minimise square at the top R/H corner, now you will have two overlapping pages on the screen, move the cursor onto the pic you want and the details box will pop up under (or over the pic, left click on the lowest box in that pop up (which says "img code") and that box should change and then say "copied", left click back on this site page and right click which will bring up the small options box, left click "paste" and the img code will then be in your reply box (here) showing as text, repete that for all the pics you want to add, and when you click post, the pics should be added to you thread post, sounds a bit of a mess around but i find it pretty quick when adding several pictures, anyway give it a go and see how ya get on

Well that seemed to work so it must be the photos themselves... sorry all for clogging up this thread!

As far as I know the site does not resize it. I just pick the size of 800x800

The easiest way I know the resize if the site don't do it, is by using the paint program on my computer. My camera takes huge shots. I click resizes in paint and it just asks what percent. I start with 50 and most time have to go all the way to 25% of original. Still plenty large for here but gave me no problems loading from or to photobucket.

You can also reize on Photo Bucketm just mouse over the picture and click edit, then go form there, If you need more help just pm me and I will walk right thru it, but its pretty easy, I do mine like 700X???, and there plenty big enough, now I got a new camera, it takes really killer shots, anyway....

Thanks guys... I resized one particular Bel Air image to 800x800 but it resolutely refused to load on the site. At least it works now!
All I gotta do now is find the box with the camera card reader and software in so I can take some new pics.... oh the joy of moving house twice in 11 months.

You guys are right in that this site doesn't resize pics. Photobucket and fotki both have options to resize on their sites. I'm sure most any of the photo hosting sites prolly do. Keep trying. Don't give up on posting. It takes me a bit to learn this stuff on just about any forum I join!! hahaha I use fotki, myself. Photobucket seems to be harder for me, but maybe that's just me.

Okay...here's what I did: I opened photobucket, chose a pic, and moused over it. A box opened under the pic. I left ckicked the "Direct Link" URL. I then opened this thread, and hit the reply button in the upper right corner of the thread. It opened a message box full of options. On the second row of icons starting with the "tube" icon, the #4 icon is the image button you want to click on. It will place the img tags in your message box. Go between the two center brackets and paste your pic's URL in there. It should post your pic as I have done with this yellow Dodge. Hope this helps, and let us know, otherwise. I'll try to get someone who knows more than I do to see if it can be made simpler. It does seem to be too complicated to me! Thanks for trying, guys and keep going!

If you change the title or move the picture to a different section the picture will not show. Even if you do it years later. So if you start a new album, be sure to redownload the pics, unless you've never posted them. I speak from experience.

That's a very good tip, Bruce. Thanks for bringing that up! There is no way we can save the pics here, that I know of.

I also deleted a bunch of old images to ensure I wasn't above any limit but no joy. Where you're making your mistake is by using the insert image thing. All you have to do is left click on the image code in PB and bring it here and right click in your post and tell it to paste. It will paste it where the blinking line is. Be sure to move the line down after each pic or it'll post them side by side and we don't want that. If ya set the image size in PB to 800x600 it'll automatically resize any pic you up load to PB to that size, but will not change any that have already been there.

I've got the posting picture thing sorted now thanks, as you can see by the picture of the "used car lot" Caddy on the previous page. I haven't posted any more because I can't find the software for my camera!
