Ok, I need some help here; I do not build a lot of car models, but there are some I do want to build, this being one of them. A friend gave me the MPC kit, and I have decided the time is getting close to building it. So, without doing a lot of research on it I started getting some stuff together for it. I have the Slixx decals, I bought a pre-wired distributor, some paint, and then I decided to check things out a bit more. The kit comes with a blower equipped motor, I want to do the one with the velocity stacks on the intake, and I want to do the original car, not the restored version, so my questions are....
1. Where can I get a new intake and tubes?? I don't have a stash of car kits to rummage through, so is there an aftermarket part for this or a specific kit that has what I need?
2. I am trying to find a photo or photos of the original car with the sponsor decals on the rear quarters that match the Slixx decals. The problem is that most photos have a slightly different layout, and more specifically have a M&H tire decal on the real car that is not included on the Slixx sheet and I have not been able to find a pair of these decals. So I am trying to find a picture of the car without the M&H decal on it, or a pair of rectangular M&H decals.
3. Or, I guess another option is to go with the initial version of the car with a dual carb set up, but again that would require a different intake as well with the dual carbs.
Any help and suggestions you could give me would be greatly appreciated!

There were a few different H-U-G kits issued. The kit below shows the 1966 version": The kit Ben posted is a 1969 version. There were Barracuda cars from each year used, starting in '65. Here's the Wiki link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurst_Hemi_Under_GlassThere were other cars used, but the first two Barracuda body styles are the most recognized.

Thank you guys! Ben, thanks a ton man! You're a huge help! So it looks like I have to get some new wheels as well For a kit that was given to me, this is turning out to be an expensive little turd Ok, so the pic Ben posted of the kit is the one I have. The following pictures are for reference only, copyright to the original owner. This is the blown motor, what comes in the kit. These show the engine, with the velocity stack intake and eight stacks. These are the parts I am trying to find. Just for fun this is the original engine, with dual carb set up. Also, the engine wouldn't fit in through the rear and had to go in through the passenger door. I think I found the pic I need showing the car with the decal layout on the Slixx sheet, so that is good. I am not trying to make this 1000% accurate down to the last nut and bolt. I do however want to make it look as accurate as I can and true to the original as I can without turning into a complete science project.

Ok, so I got up this morning and poked around Ebay and found a Mopar hemi with the stacks, so that is taken care of.....until I need to try to fit it into the car and a set of Hurst wheels, so that is sorted out as well. So that means that this little money pit goes on the build soon pile. I just need to test the gold paint I bought to see if it is going to be a good match.....I hope so. Thank you all for your help so far, I really appreciate it!
