Well gents, color me disappointed today. Went to the barn to get the ‘67 mustang GT I have been restoring only to find that nearly all of the chrome trim and engine parts are not there... So, it goes in the junkyard parts bin and I am working on this heap:  I am going to paint this to match a ‘57 Chevy Stepside I am working on. So, after some body work, this will be painted a tasteful light blue! |

So let me tell you, this is a beautiful car but the jack wagon that worked on it last really did a number on it!  This is what the interior looked like:  He was building it as a junkyard style drag version, whereas I am going for a combination of custom and stock. The suspension is set low which I think looks good. For that interior though, I have ripped out the drag seats, center console and drag dash. The interior is going to be creme like the ‘53 F-100. I am putting in the stock bench front seat and the stock dash. I will get ya’all pic soon but he also installed the drag front-end which limits my chrome options. I am going to try to remove that so I can chrome it out right! |

I wouldnt even deal with all that. Id slam it as low as it can go, Tint all the windows and even the windshield and call it a curbside!! Call me a lazy SOB but thats how I roll  lol |

This weekend I polished the body but found a few spots in the paint that peeled off. This week I will have to use my dremel to grind off some unwanted parts that just will not come off!

I like the blue paint. It is perfect for this car! I think the exterior and interior will look great together! Looking forward to seeing the finished Impala!!! Have fun!!!

I was talking about the chrome removal! It being an AMT '58 it's all moulded on the body, where as the Revell is seperate.
