My old computer had only 2 GB of RAM and got filled up so I went and got a refurbished one with 8 GB RAM which should hold me for a while. Still have a few things to get worked out but by tonight I should be back up to speed. Haven't been idle though with progress being made on the PTGB M4A2,British Matilda and Pz 3 Ausf L.

Sounds good Cliff, I just ordered a new gaming laptop to replace my old warn HP laptop (the case is now held together with bailing wire, lol). I have to have it for Real Estate as it's my only PC, the gaming part is cause I play online with my son and oldest grandson who live on the coast.

Its not really the Ram thats important, I had a lappy with 4gb of ram before with a dedicated card (not onboard graphics like Intel HD graphics) It ran amazing. Now this 5 yr old pos I have now has 8gb of Ram with an Intel Core i5 @ 2.53 ghz and it runs slower than molasses and crashes at least once a day. It cannot handle anything I throw at it other than basic stuff, This is because it does not have dedicated graphics, It has the onboard Intel HD graphics which suck.... I will have a new gaming desktop someday. Then i can actually do something lol

Will be cool to see your builds you have been working on Cliff!!! Really looking forward to that British Matilda!!! Glad you are feeling better now and tackling stuff again!!! Make sure and post a nice pic of the PC when you get it set up in latest acquisitions for us to see!!!  |

Got the computer up and running to specs EXCEPT my monitor is not up to par with this machine. I've got a gray box bouncing around saying "Input not Supported". I hooked it up to the wife's TV and everything was fine, so I'll have the step-daughter get me one with her Amazon Prime for next day delivery.

Well it seems the family will help out when needed, one of my sister-in-laws had a brand new 20" HD monitor she wasn't using or going to use so she gave it to me.  I now have everything from the old 'puter in their places and easy to find now. Plus the last couple of days has been hectic around here,so between getting the computer running right and doing paper work and talking to all sorts of medical people I did at least get bench time in. Now to get some online enjoyment  . |
