You should use a primer of some type with those paints, and also pick up a bottle of Future/ Pledge with Future Shine or what the heck ever it is called this week. Walmart usually has it, and I think Market Basket?? Not totally sure, though. Use the Future to thin the paint, helps it flow really well, level out well and makes it more durable.

Ok, well then yeah, drop your PSI. I generally spray everything, enamels, lacquers, acrylics, at about 15-20 PSI. Glad you were able to get your new compressor up and running!

First off, Apple barrel paints are generally for fabric such as T-shirts. They aren't meant to go over non-porous material like plastic. That being said, a coarse primer would go a long way to give that paint something to grab. Other than that, I haven't got any good advice.

Don't go over 22 psi, for anything, I run mine about 17 PSI just for nail polish, rule of thumb for me, the thinner the medium the lower the PSI, and I use ALWAYS primer, with any medium, I use Dupli-Color, ALWAYS.... "65 Impala no build, with fingernail polish, shot at 17 PSI, 2 hours after finale coat, no clear, and no orange peel.

at 17psi nothing came out lol. Nothing would come out till i hit almost 30psi. Its probably my mix ratio, Everyone been telling me the consistency of milk.... Well ok, unless i have a bottle of milk right next to me how do i know. And is this 1%, 2%, Whole Milk, Fat Free, Skim Milk, Lactaid, I could go on lol

What did you thin the nail polish with? Beautiful color and finish... Lacquer thinner, just some cheap stuff from Walmart, at a 2/1 mix, was using a 50/50, but found it took to many coats, at 20 PSI, dropped to 17 PSI still to many coats, so went ahead and went to 2/1 mix, light mist coats, till full cover, 24 hours, then a med coat, 24 hours, then went with a mild heavy coat, and what you see is after 2 hour's, and of course wet sand and wash between, and I use Kleen Kolor nail polish, and another brand, but for the most part, Kleen Kolor, mixed with House Of Kolor paint, and Dupli-Color primer, and I used fire brick red primer as may base kolor primer, also a lil tip, the kolor of your primer will help with a tint to your base kolor....

Hope this helps a lil, sorry....
