Hi gents. Life happened to get in the way and all model building ceased. The old mojo hit back with vengeance last week and I decided to start on this build. This is the 4th kit ive built from this manufacturer and each one is better than the last. Thes are the first 2 structures of the 3. They are built up of individually grained and stained pieces of stripwood that are glued to a cardboard sub frame. The windows are laser cut and made up of 2 or 3 pieces glued together. I Still have a very long way to go, but its great to be building again.

Hey Keith and Joe
Thanks for the welcome back brothers. The manufacturer is Sierra West scale models. Unfotunately 1/48 is the largest scale he makes. Been on his case to try a 1/35th scale, but the price would be ridiculous.

Wes, one comment : absofabulo result on the worn paint of this building ! Question : how did you achieve this old paint/wood effect ? Hey AG. Thanks for the kind words bro. The walls planks were individually grained with a wire brush I then mixed a random selection of brown and grey chalks with isopropyl alcohol After letting it dry i rolled the paint with the long side of the paint brushes bristles (not the tip ) just catching the high parts of the plank I then came back with masking tape and removed some paint where I felt it was needed or to add extra weathered sections. I worked on about 4 planks at a time.

It feels good when the mojo wakes up. I've had a sleeping mojo several times. One time it lasted nearly five years!

Plus a few of us kicked him in the seat of the pants with duel builds and group builds!!! LOL!!! HAHAHA....that was several years ago. I got back to the bench in order to build a replica SuperBee for a friend of mine in time for his birthday. That got the mojo going, again.
