Remember when you do the deck blue all flat surfaces like the large roofs of the guns get that same color while the sides get the grey...

Thanks Joe! So, I was curious about something. On the particular model I've got, what would the red have been down by what I'm assuming is the water line? That's gotten me curious because I've not really found it on line. I did find an "example" model that was released by Tamiya that I believe is exactly what the colors should be, so that, the video and the the camo descriptions should get me what I'm looking for.

Original antifouling paints. The steel is coated with a red oxide anti fouling coating. If you used normal paint to coat the surface below the waterline it would quickly be covered in barnacles and other types of sea life. Once these build up they create a lot of drag which causes the ship to use a lot more fuel. Antifouling agents keep the paint reasonably clear and free from excessive drag.
Should the vessel capsize against a blue or green sea the red was easy to spot.

cool. Thanks! Makes sense then. So, I guess what I'll do is reduce the height of the red and add the navy and grays appropriately.
