Raptor is 1/72. After getting that one I decided I preferred 1/48 but now I have a 1/72 Lancaster, 1/72 A-10, and 1/72 T-55 tank, so will have two separate displays, but still like the bigger ones—if only for display appeal!

That's cool. I'm more partial to the smaller scale; that's why I stick with it. Still, any work anyone does is worth looking at no matter the scale.

I'm actually going for the armed forces motiff in my office right now. I have an F-18 Super Hornet Marine trainer (Since they didn't have the super). I also have another F-18 Super Hornet with Navy decals, as well as the F-16 (air Force). Those three are in 1/48. I need a good Army aircraft to complete it though.

Final coat on the top. Picture of the light gray on the underside from a few days ago. All armaments are assembled and ready for paint in the next day or two.

Last night I installed all the landing struts and stuff. The F-18 told me that if I tried painting that stuff first, it would be a mess. As it is, it dried nicely overnight. So, tonight or tomorrow, I'll be putting the last coat of paint on the top and bottom, then doing the painting of the landing gear and armaments. Other than the painting and decals, the only thing left to do is attach the painted armaments and the tires themselves. I'll take some pics tonight before I start painting. (Last night was rough as I ran out of my sleeping pills on the 3rd, so I haven't been sleeping and as a result have been cranky. )

Well, tonight I got home and started repairing the tree damage my brother-in-law caused the weekend before my ankle surgery. Way too much for just me... have come to the realization that my right knee is never going to be right again. I did get the damaged roof panels down, the fence repaired and extended 6’ and the new framing built for the new roof. Tomorrow I have to figure out where my border collie for out tonight! Daughters boyfriend found her so she’s home.

This is what I did instead of the F-16 last night: That’s my Slanted Shed (my shop). In February, my brother in law dropped a tree on the privacy fence and the steel roof over my work area. I had extra steel roof panels and 6’ more fencing so I decided the fix would be to repair while extending my work area by 6’. (Giving me enough space to park my John Deere here too

There's a blessing in disguise: the chance to expand the shed. Everything looks great, just tale care of yourself and go slow. You don't want to blow anything else out.

Today I got two roof panels back up and some cleanup done. Have one more pane to put on tonight and some more bracing to do but this week my John Deere should be in its new parking spot for the last year have been storing it next door at my brother in laws but it’s hit or miss if I can actually get his barn door opened.

Here’s where I am now on the F-16: Plan on the finish paint for the armaments and landing gear tonight.

That looks exceptional Scott! Right about now, I'd be clearcoating this and decaling it before the landing gear and weapons. That way, I can put them on with minimal risk of breakage of delicate parts. I always break delicate parts so leaving them off until after decals helps eliminate that problem for me. Hey, it's your model and it's beautifully done right now! I am looking forward to seeing more, especially since you're on the home stretch now!
