A week before my ankle reconstruction in February (so around Feb 6) of this year, I enlisted a friend to help me take down a tree over my shop. It had been dead for about 2 years and was getting shaky. I decided it needed to come down then because the doctor was advising very limited activity for 6 months and a brace for a year. Little did I know I'd be back to full function in 3 months!
Unfortunately, my brother-in-law decided that day would be the perfect day to try out his new chainsaw. While he is usually good at dropping a tree on target, this was a cold windy day and as you can see...he missed the target. The mistake means a lot of work for me. Even though I was going to rework this outdoor work area, it could wait. The tree damaged the front facade of the shed, the door track, 2 of the steel roof panels and did quite a bit of damage to the privacy fence and posts holding it up.
This week I started rebuilding everything and THIS is where the itching comes into play. That whole area around that tree is overgrown in poison ivy that we've been working for years to eliminate. So, after two days working in and around the stuff, the itching began at 6am today. 😢

I have poison ivy around my house, too. It doesn't bother me so much, but Mrs Bucky can't be around the stuff.

It's the only thing we can farm well on our land. My doctor wrote me a never ending prescription of "STAY OUT OF IT" a few years ago. I just keep forgetting to fill it. haha!

It's all itchy stuff. I shoot it with Roundup every chance I get.
