Sorry about that Ben! We're a blended family. My two "step" daughters didn't say/do anything for their biological dad either. The oldest did wish me a happy father's day. On Saturday, my biological daughter took me out for Chinese. When it was just the two of us (after I won custody and before I met my second wife and when she was between 3 and 7) we had a nightly Friday night routine of going out to a nice Chinese buffet in town together. Those years I had to work two jobs to support the two of us so this was between the M-F 8-5 job and the weekend third shift job. Good times and now that she's finished her Freshman year in college, she's found she's missing that, so she practically begs me to go now.

Good for you Scott. It's sad that so many kids have no clue about the importance of Family. I'm all by myself out here in So Cal, none of my sisters or brothers are anywhere nearby. I miss my family.

The day that both reminds me of my biggest regret in life and reminds me to call the most important person in my life!

At least you got to be a father Robert. My biggest regret in life is that I'm not.

I have spent a lot of this year reminiscing on my life...I guess us guys do that when we get into our 40's and 50's eh? My midlife crisis is modelling I guess-it's the only one I can somewhat afford. One of the biggest mistakes I ever made led to my daughter being born, so yeah, if I had to do it all over again, I'd do it in a heartbeat! Besides, one of these days, it'll get me a book published. haha! My girls are 20, 19 and 15. The oldest and youngest are at home. The middle one (my biological one) is living 2 miles down the road as a camp administrator between her freshman and sophomore years in college. And the college I attend is where I work, so we all still get to see each other.

Yes, it's nice. Even with the frustration with them sometimes, as they get older, it's a constant reminder that I'm getting older
