I finished this one earlier in the year, Bandai kit, which was great to put together and the detailing is very nice as well. I used Tamyia clear red to tint the clear areas, and messed around with AK True Metal paste waxes for the discoloration on the exhausts. I usually enjoy the painting process, but this thing turned out to be a turd to paint, mainly because I could not get the effects I wanted, the wings were painted and stripped three times, the body twice, finished off with a make or break desperation move to save that fiasco, and an experiment with spraying Lifecolor paints on the base to get a feel for how they handle before I have to use them on an actual build where I don't want to dick up the finish. Anyway, got there in the end which is what matters, and learned a couple of things along the way. These Bandai Star Wars kits are really great builds that are pretty straight forward and fun. I have several more of their kits standing by for when the urge strikes, which lately is fairly often.
