Got called for jury duty today... oh boy!!! So I may be quiet for a day or a week depending on if I'm selected and how big a case it is... wee haw!!! See you all on the flip side!!!

Nope, went through the process and didn't get picked, ha, ha!!! Kind of makes me wonder what your past is like  . BTW - I don't get picked for jury duty either  . |

I had to serve on the grand jury in my county for six months a few years ago. We met once a month for a couple hours, and that was it.

I served on an attempted murder case a few years ago... was interesting!!!

I've been somewhat lucky. Since retiring from the Military (exempt until then), I've been summoned three times. Once I was told to leave within an hour because the day's docket had been reduced. Once I had to stay all day, but was one of the "leftover" jurors who were never called. Once, I was actually called, screened, and selected. I went back on Day One of the trial and within two hours the Defense produced evidence that they had never revealed to the Prosecution. Needless to say we were ushered out of the courtroom, waited, brought back in to hear the "Mistrial" judgement, and went home.
I haven't been summoned again for about 18 months, so I'm due.

The first time I was summoned, there was a computer glitch in the processing, and about half the county showed up. They filled their "quota" before they got to me, so I got to leave that one.
