I had Joe remove the first attempt at describing using these paints with my new airbrush. I was way off base on thinning and air pressure plus the fact up to that point I rarely have used a dual action AB. Now that I have a couple of miles under my belt I'll give it another try. This review will be done with my Patriot 105 dual action and Badger 200 Fine Gravity Feed single action, things may be different with different ABs. Primer - Using a 10-15% thinner ratio (10% for large size needles(0.5mm) and 15% for smaller needles(0.2mm-0.3mm)at about 18 psi gave me a nice smooth leveling coat using either one of the brushes. Go with about 15 min between coats,1-2 hrs before the base coat and 24-48 hrs before applying a solvent based paint. Paint - Using a 1-5% thinner ratio here (1-3% for large needles and 4-5% for small needles),2-3 drops of the polyurethane at 18 psi worked great for me using either of the brushes. Go with 5-15 min between coats. Clean up - I found the best cleaner is Testors Aztek Universal Acrylic Cleaner. It works a whole lot better than Mission Models thinner/cleaner. So, using this method I have gotten very good results with this paint and will be my go to acrylic paint. Everyone should experiment with ratios, psi and needle size and adjustments to find what works for you. I'm also getting the hang of using a dual action brush now so hopefully there won't be as much swearing as there was in the past.

I don't know how many reviews i've read or review videos i've watched but on average the Mission Model mix is the best all around starting point but depending on the brush and individual painting habits or styles the ratios can be adjusted a little up or down to suit the person.
My main reason I buy different brands is COLOR and btw they all say theirs is spot on
I appreciate your test report and will bookmark the post,Thanks Tony lee
