Hey everyone, as ya all know Fry's (Krogers) has started this shopping deal where you order you groceries right over the internet, well here in Southern Arizona, Sierra Vista to be exact, well once it goes threw they walk the store boxing up, or bagging up your groceries for you, then you just come up and pick-m-up right at the store, kewl huh? well not so kewl if your poor person on disability, and have a EBT card (food stamps) yeah because you don't have a debt card/credit card, you don't get to have that same service, that people who well, can work, gets, I didn't ask to be disabled, but because I am, and I get a set amount in food stamps, I'm not a person good enough to enjoy that service, just a Lil something you can think about, next time you order online from Fry's

That is discrimination to the fullest no matter your situation... I wouldn't shop there...

I don't anymore, but there is a 5.00 service fee, to have the monkeys box/bag your stuff, I would pay that in cash when I go to pick up the payed for groceries....

What puts a flame under my butt is these bigger grocery stores want you to use apps downloaded onto your smart phone to get some really great deals,but how about those of us who only have flip phones and have no desire to get a smart phone. That to me being told to spend more money on a device I don't want to get special deals. They use to do this with text messages that I can get on my flip and they show up on the other phones. What's wrong with this picture?

I just go down and buy my own, load my own and bring it all home old school. Just because one can order it all online and have it brought to you, doesn't make it any better. I'm sure this service is most helpful for those with limited mobility strength and transportation, but so far, I am limited not at all in these areas. In that case, many times Old School is the best school.

I won't use the self-checkout lanes, either. They won't give me a discount for doing it myself, so I use a cashier that actually gets paid to do it for me.

I dont even know wth Krogers is lol. I live in Mass. Anyways we have had the same kind of service here in Mass but They luckily dont discriminate and allow ebt users to get the same service. My mother does it every month.

Kroger is based in Cincinnati, and spreads across the southern US, but not very many in Alabama, or the Gulf coast. They do own other brands, such as Fry's.
At my local Kroger store, they set up the Click List online thing, and marked off several parking spots for those folks. I have hardly seen anybody in those spots, so I'm thinking the Click List is not very popular in my town. I like to go in and pick my own stuff, especially since I look for the best price on a lot of my purchases.

We have Shaws, Market Basket, Star Market, Wegmans, Whole Foods, Stop and Shop lol. We kinda picky, other than Walmart we don't really let chains from the south to invade us with the redneckery with there chewin tobaccky and there spittoons....... Please find the humor in this, Ive been out mulching and doing yardwork all day, I got entirely to much sun!!! I would never purposely insult anyone.......... |

In addition to Kroger Stores, its groceries include Cala Foods, City Markets, Copps, Dillons, FoodsCo, Fred Meyer Stores, Fry's, King Soopers, Mariano's Fresh Market, Metro Market, Pick 'n Save, Quality Food Centers (a.k.a. QFC), Ralphs, Food 4 Less, and Smith's Food and Drug.

Hannaford here in NY...and I use and love the service. I can't stand grocery shopping... especially when they are always moving stuff around...takes me twice as long to find things. They mess up occasionally but usually give me a $20 gift card when they do so...

All great comments, we have a food truck called Shwans, they have a fridge truck, kinda like a big ice cream truck, great stuff, not too cheep, anyway THEY will even take the EBT cards, I have told Fry's/Kroger, my issues, but I'm only one person, out of how many  ??, and "Oh well sorry for your bad luck" attatude" ever try to carry 50-75.00 on a bus having to walk with a cane, trashed out hip's, and muscle atrophy in my legs, just pisses me off, how many other people out there are in the same spot, and or worse off then I am, I suffer from major anxiety disorder, and well, paranoid personality disorder, plus other things, it is heck for me to be in a place with that many people, even on the meds, yeah shopping is 2 AM thing for me, 15.00 cab ride, but still their are other's who don't cave the cards, for whatever reason, do they not deserve the same services as the rest? |

Thanx man, and for those thinking "what about friends?" nope, chased them away, somehow people don't like to be told the truth, yeah I have no filters, when it comes to thinking ummmmmm, out loud? hahahahahahahahaha, as for family nope, all passed, only child to boot, an nope no kids, but I got's Bear, an Peanut, an folks that all I need, now if they could only drive, hahahahahahaha...
