Howdy folks! This is the MPC '73 Mercury Cougar "The Cat". I built it straight from the box, and used most of the "Cat" decals. The only 2 I didn't use were the two oversize cats that were to go on each side of the hood. Left them off. I stopped with the lower Cat stripes, and the upper accent stripes on the body and rear roof pillar. I thought the two big cats on the hood were just a little overboard, I wanted it to look classy. The kit is supplied with a 351M/400 family engine, but I can visualize the OHC 427 sitting in there very nicely. Some folks dont like the Cougar after it was built on a chassis separate from the Mustang, but '73 is far and away my favorite year. It is Painted with Duplicolor Universal Black, with a Krylon "buckskin" interior, and woodgrain accents on the dash, front door panels, and steering wheel trim. If I ever get into financial shape to grab one of these beauties 1:1, this is how it will look!! Hope you like! Darrin

Darrin, You have done a great job , on this rare subject. Your thought to leave off the 2 CATS, was a smart one. By leaving them off , you have made this a classy , sharp looking build. [glow=red,2,300]GREAT WORK![/glow] Thank you for sharing your superb build with our members. 8-)RICK

An EXCEPTIONAL build, Darrin!!!!!! Very clean, and the stripes lend just the right amount of accent.
