Just read an interesting tip for weathering powders!!! Eye shadow is much cheaper on the wallet, comes in hundreds of colors, easy to select the color you want due to the clear lids and stays in the container without making a mess! You can spread it around with numerous size brushes that you can also pick up in the same aisle!!! Simulate rust, dirt, wear, fading or use subtle variations of colors!!! You can use the metallic evening wear colors on engines, gun barrels and bare metal finishes and a single compact can last you a very long time for way less money so you can afford more model kits!!! Next time the wife or girlfriend goes for some makeup, head out with her and get some for your bench!!! You'll be glad you did...

I told Red about it and she went to her makeup collection and just handed me a bunch of colors!!! Said she hasn't used them for years!!! SCORE!!!

The ones she gave me aren't cheap either, it's Artistry cosmetics from Amway!!!

Got plenty of pigments right now but the pink fingernail files are great. I like the ones from wally world best and I usually buy them out when I go there.  |

Makeup brushes are great ...weathering...and for oils can smooth out and blend on larger scale figures and busts...I get some strange looks tho..cruising the beauty product aisles..only caution is to test a brush before going at something special as some tend to shed bristles...
And don’t overlook plastic lipstick storage as dropper bottle racks..

Excellent tips Jonny!!! I have a new one coming in a week, ordered decorators Nail Tape... 1mm wide, multiple colors including holographic... makes excellent pin stripes on car models I am told, I will let you know once I try it and where to get it!!!  |
