Finished up redoin my 87 Thunderbird tonight As ya can see it's slightly lowered but still very stock looking. But wait ... whats that in the lower bumper ?? I sense some Deception here ..........This Bird Is a Terminator !!! Hehe originally decided to put this engine into a 92, when the 92 was damaged beyond repair I spied this 87 and decided the Thunderbird Terminator Coupe would be born. The engine is a combination of the revell 99 Cobra engine and the supercharger and such from the Mach III Kit The suspension is lowered via cutting rear springs and heavy modifying of the front K member. The rest of the car is as stock as it was the day it was first built.

a wolf in sheep's clothing! Things are not as they seem!! A very nice, unassuming automobile, but do not anger the 'Bird!!!!!!!! Cool build, Rick! The engine looks right at home in there. After all, a 5.0 was offered in these cars, just not with the go-fast stuff you have on this one.

FYI,that new fangled Coyote 5.0L in the new Mustangs (yeah, that, the wicked powerful one that propels a new STOCK Mustang into the 12's,teeheehee!),it's a modular too. The last hurrah for the old pushrod 5.0L happened a year after my 1:1 GT was produced

Steve ... I gotta disagree. The Pushrod SBF has never had its last hurrah... The aftermarket and Ford themselves are seeing to that. Long Live the Windsors!!!!

By "last hurrah",I only meant that Ford won't be producing any more of them from the factory in new cars on the showroom (they can't,they won't pass the strict-er emissions laws now present),the Windsor will NEVER die,and though I like the feel of revving a new modular Mustang past 7,000 RPM,no way in heck I'd trade my ol push-rod for one of em...maybe buy one down the road to park along side it,though (I do like them '04 MACH I's and Bullitts ) You misunderstood what I meant
