Well here is the next kit to be on the bench.  have already primed and painted some of it and will be starting on the cockpit here in the next day or so. Ohh and duke,, I told you i was doing your scale. And if anyone else has done this one please feel free to chime in and tell me what you liked and disliked about the kit. |

Count me in! I always love a Mustang build. Correct me if I am mistaken, but isn't the Academy offering originally Accurate Miniatures moldings? If so, you will not be disappointed.
Hmmmm.....I may be thinking about their 1/48 offerings.

Hmmmm.....I may be thinking about their 1/48 offerings. Good question thug,, I'm not 100% sure, but I'm leaning towards agreeing with you. So far what I've researched online says that it is a good kit. One guy added a bunch of PE to it and his turned out great, despite him being hard on himself. |

Thank you for this too. I believe that kit is not the Accurate Miniatures kit, because I'm building one of those and it is an old Monogram mold. It even has the Monogram copyright stamped inside the wing. This one is an original Academy; but their 1/48 scale offering is the old Accurate Miniatures kit. Looking forward to seeing this one. I'm following along. |

I built this one about two years ago. It goes together very well and presented no issues. It's not an eduard or Meng kit by no means, but it's a good addition to any collection.  |

Ok gang, my apologies for no updates lately, but I was painting the cockpit and when I went to paint the red buttons I realized I had no red paint. Smh. So as soon as I make a trip to the hobby lobby I will finish it up and get pics up.
Banging my head on the wall asking myself "how the heck did I run out of red paint"
