I decided to do something different and experiment tonight...
Fry half of a sweet onion diced and the sliced kielbasa in butter in a large fry pan... add some crimini mushrooms, a can of cream of chicken soup, 1/4 cup of mayonnase and your favorite herbs and spices... I used some celery seed, thyme, parsley and black pepper. While that is heating in the pan slice a red pepper in rings and lay on the French bread that has been sliced down the length in half. Put it on a cookie sheet and preheat your oven to 350°. Spoon the kielbasa mixture over the pepper rings on 1 half of the bread and top with sliced swiss cheese, put the top of the bread back on and bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly browned and the cheese has melted... remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes then slice into sandwich size chunks and serve with your favorite fruit on the side of your plate! Enjoy!!! Red loved it and so did I!!! Definitely will make it again, we ate half that loaf and will have the rest tomorrow!!!
