I just did some checking. Testors has # 1151 Copper enamel in the square bottle. Don't know if it would work or not.
What did you clear it with?
Got a picture of the cracks?

No pics Jeff, cleared it with Testors Gloss so it was compatible... not sure why it cracked... went on fine... thin coat but overnight I got spiderweb cracks in it... the copper had dried a week... weird!!!

Might have to pick up some small bottles if I can get the old off the body and redo the filler in places where there were dimples if that comes off too...

If one was enamel, and the other was lacquer, spiderweb can happen. Even if it says TESTORS on the bottle, remember that they have different types. Did you use a thinner? That might have had something to do with it, if you did.

Sorry about the set back. A few years ago I painted two cars. The paint cracked, and turned out very dull. The cans said 65 degrees, it was 65 degrees outside. It was too cold, I guess. Anyway, I tried Simple Green, didn't work. I also tried the strong rubbing alcohol, sorta kinda works. I found out that the room needs to be well ventilated!!! As of now the cars still have paint on them!!! Oh by the way, the rest of these two cars are done!!! One of these days I will repaint them, once I get over it!!!

Coca Cola 1923 Ford Model T Delivery Truck like Duke Maddog got so we can do a duel build, then WWII was calling me loudly so I have 3 Soviet vehicles coming along with a Soviet Assault Infantry Winter Camouflage Cloaks figure set for a diorama and the paints I needed.
