Thought this would be the best place to list this, I read yesterday that Revell have decided to stop production of the German Flying Saucer, apparently they had too many complaints that it was trying to say the Germans had in fact built a fully working flying saucer ant that it promoted Nazism, well I'm not too sure about that but if you want one you'd best be quick. If I can find the link to the report Inwill post it

Good call Scott. I would like to see that myself. In an attempt to try and get back on the modeling track, I purchased a grail kit on my Bucket List. It's the Moebius 1/10 scale " Death Dealer " kit.
As Joe said, I also have this kit. In fact, I have two of them: one is the San Diego Comicon Exclusive Limited Edition and a second one that I picked up to build. I plan on hopefully lighting the eyes with red LED's. I'll be eagerly watching your progress on this one.
Ernie, those penguins look great, and I'm thrilled to see your excursion to the Riverhead Aquarium to see them live. "Little" looks so cute!
Thanks for the news Jed. I doubt I will ever get one since I'm not into that kind of Sci-Fi Luft '46 kind of stuff, so I will most likely pass. If one happens to come my way, then I'll happily hold on to it to sell later to someone who is into that or collector OOP kits.

No kidding. I would really like to see that! Thought about trying it in Watercolor paints on 140 lb cold press. Go Molley Hatchet!

I added on to my wife's Amazon order last night to get all of the correct colors for my F-16, F-18 and the last color for the Mighty Mo. Looking forward to tackling those three with the correct colors. (Excited to see how much better I can do the 2nd F-18 after some practice.)

Got a couple cool things yesterday and today.... The new Academy 1/48 T-34 Mentor trainer. Decals for this are arriving Friday. I also have a resin kit of this aircraft so will probably build both together, one will be in Japanese markings and one in (most likely) Navy colors. The old Monogram T-6. Molded in bright red Bought this based on a set of decals One of my interests is building models with a connection to New England, and I noticed Caracal Decals has a sheet of T-6 markings for a T-6G from the 57 FIS based at Presque Isle AFB up in Maine. So....While I have a couple of the original Monogram T-6 kits in the stash, I needed this issue of the kit as Monogram included the parts to make the T-6G version. And finally, this new book. Lots of good painting and weathering information. Also a couple good articles by Adam Wilder. I have know Adam for 20+ years and always enjoy his work, and the other articles look great as well. I have skimmed through the pages and look forward to having some quality reading time with this one.

Will post pictures later but scored 2 models for $15 at Phil’s Hobby Shop in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. They were estate sale packs but looked mostly complete. One is a 1/72 A-10 Thunderbolt and the other is a 1/72 Lancaster. First: 1/72 Avro Lancaster MK-1 kit by Revell from 1965. Kit is complete with original decals included: Second: 1/72 Fairchild A10A Thunderbolt II by Hasegawa from 1983. Also complete with original decals:

I hope so! Right now I have 4 on the bench. 2 of those are really close to being done. I decided the other day that when those two are done, I'm pulling out the Constitution. That's gonna be the big one on the bench, and I'll work on the smaller ones when I get frustrated or exhausted from the detail on 'Ole Ironsides! Assuming that one will take me several months!
Ok, so maybe not. Modeling is something my dad got me into while my brother was going through cancer treatments and we did it together. So, I'm going to see if he's willing to do the USS Constitution as a team build!
