It's no wonder it took so long, it came all the way from the Ukraine. Should be able to get primer on it soon

Thanks gents
I do love MiniArt bases, they are very well done for the most part. They do have their drawbacks, one being not so easy to assemble. This may be more me than the kits as I am unaccustomed to working with vacu-form. The other is that they ARE vacu-form and as such they are flexy and somewhat irregular in side measurements, thus not square. I solve this by pouring the base pan full of Durham's water putty to get a solid unit, then putty around the edges of the wood surround takes care of the out of square problem. Note the screws attaching it to the wood surround, these are needed to get the thing to lay flat.

Now we'll see if Vallejo acrylic putty is as good as they say.
Primer on

I used Rustoleum rattlecan primer here, takes a good bite and dries to the touch in about five minutes

Yeah brother all MiniArt buildings and diorama bases are vacu-form. Still better than working with Verlinden one side detail plaster however

This is very interesting! I don't think I've ever worked with anything vacu-formed.

Thanks gents
It's easy to get jazzed about vacuform kits but in reality they are not as hard as one may think; the worst part is flat sanding the wall halves after they've been cut out of the sheet. MinArt plastic helps here as it's soft and very reactive with LPC.
This is taking awhile to paint. Here the wall, building, and roadway are nearly done

I'll probably use some grass mat remnants to cover the bare earth, this is, after all, supposed to be Europe
