A couple days ago Nancy and I had a to us very funny exchange that I can't get out of my head. Allow me to digress a bit for the background...
As you all know she and myself ride ATV's and walk about in the mountains out here for entertainment. While doing this a couple three years back I made the unpleasant discovery that I seem to have a shelf life of four days or so above eight thousand feet. Dependent on how high up we are and the level of exertion, I begin to slide into altitude sickness. It comes with all kinds of nifty symptoms including but not limited to weakness, dizziness, the inability to lay down flat, cardiac arrhythmias, and fluid buildup in the pleural cavity. Knowing what was going on, we dropped down the mountain a few thousand feet and symptoms abated without getting serious or complications occurring.
OK, I sez, I'm getting older and such things are not uncommon so we simply adjust time at altitude and since we've done that everything's been fine. I pretty much forgot about it.
Apparently Nancy has not. We were sitting at the dinner table and she asked me how I was feeling, and if I was having arrhythmias lately. She also asked if I found model building stressful. My answers were Good, No, Not at all, and Why. Her reply was "I just don't want to go downstairs and find you dead at the bench one of these days." I managed to not spit my mouthful of food across the room but by the time we got done laughing about it we had to reheat dinner.
I'll say it again, it's nice to know that someone cares
Regards, Mark

Last Friday Hospice took my blood pressure while she was here. At the time I was working on the StuG and the upper number was 114 over another low number? Sky Diving sounds like a good alternative. Uncle Tony

When I go I would like it to be at the bench just after finishing a build , or to be 100 yrs old and shot by a jealous husband , or if these don't work out quietly in my sleep . My thoughts on sky diving - Things that fall from the sky 1 - rain 2 - snow 3 - bird poop 4 - fools
