I have a 1:1 1968 Imperial Crown convertible. Bought it in 1998. I was at a model show in Michigan in 2000 and came across a Jo-Han 1968 Imperial hardtop. I grabbed it!   Modelingmonkey is wondering if I should cut up an original promo to make a replica of "Sally Anne", or leave it as is. I'm still wondering, too!! |

It would be a shame to cut up such a nice (and probably rare) promo. However, to give you a third option, it would look sweet to detail it out- polish the plastic, paint details, BMF, etc.

On the other hand...it would be nice to have a replica of your 1:1...IDK,old friend,tough choice.

I keep looking for another promo. That way I can keep the best one as a promo and redo the worst one as "Sally Anne". These promos are HARD to come by!!

Since then, I have acquired three more of these promo Imperials. I shall use one of them to do a replica of "Sally Anne".

I'll bet the hold up is that BIG ole Lead sled of a 58 chebby, can't move it cause of the weight, and it's got no motor yet!
