I dont know if this is even the right category for this, But i started scratchbuilding myself an engine stand to hold the engines while drying or working on them, Anyways here are the beginnings of it.

Definitely the right place. Virtually by definition, a fixture for assembly or painting is a scratchbuilding effort. One thing I've learned through the years, honing my skills at scratch work, is not to shy away from building a fixture if it will make life easier going forward. Those six Witchita clutches & brakes on my Madill yarder were all glued together using a fixture I made for the purpose, after my first effort without one was a failure.
