Must be the bed. It kinda looks like a Ford bed. Hence the name "Flareside". Just guessing, here!

I'm a little surprised it got past BOTH of you....It's a '99 Ford Flareside with the '99 Chevrolet grille and engine; along with the fender (and bed) markings of the Chevrolet.-lol

What's funny is; the grille pretty much fit right on the Ford cab. If you cut the headlights out and just a tiny bit of trimming.....the '99 grille will fit the Escalade EXT to make an Avalanche:
