Great tools, Patrick! I have my Dad's tools from his machinist days. I received them in 1991 after he passed away. I don't use his tools, but I do have some others that I picked up along the way, that are right handy in the hobby room.

I keep a set of plastic dial calipers in my model car tool box. I have much more expensive dial calipers, outside mics, etc. out in my fabrication tool boxes. As a fabricator, I have often had need for such tools, sometimes using a mill or a lathe in the course of my work. But there are many uses for such measuring tools. Models or full scale.

Nice tools,I'm like a magnet for tools like this,if it wasn't for my wife I would be on the spectrum as a hoarder,most I have saved from the metals bin at work and handed on to others,I can't stand needless waste. I have two nice wood workers bench vices in my garage,I will never use them I know but somebody will want them some day I'm sure!!
