As ya can tell i love these MPC kits, i remember makeing a pair of them in my early teen's, bought from woolworths, under MPC/airfix, over the years they got either lost or thrown out, i left model makeing behind and got on with getting married, haveing kids and makeing a liveing, i totally forgot who made the kits untill someone on "automodeling" responded to my question about them,
i always remembered the detail on these kits inc the booze, guns and golf clubs (come with the 2 door lincoln,) and many moveing parts, as you can see i managed to obtain several kits and part started models from the gangbuster series, all of em Lincolns, i've not been able to get or afford the Al capone Chrysler and i belive the chevy "paddy wagon" kit will never again be available as the tooling was altered to produce a rod, i did get a pair of Chrysler's of the same year/type as the Capone car which i've yet to make but obvisiouly no capone and cop figures, guns or "safe"
incidently all the booze from all these kits is aboard the "beer wagon ", my onlt attempt so far at a "funny" car if thats the right description
adding lights to these kits was a bit of a fiddle, just managed to get 3mm's in the headlight's with a 640ohm resistor in line to dim them (these olduns didn't have superbright hallagen lights, the single rear light is via a shaped bit of fibre-optic,
i did tow in the same colors (approx) as i did them way back then, ie;- red two door and yellow four door, opened up the doors on many and made two as police pursuit (which they apparantly did with confiscated gang cars)
hope ya like em ;D
