I t was mentioned in another thread I oughta post up my 1/1 Mustangs to agitate a certain member hehe well I loves my Stangs and agitatin so this is a perfect thread lol First off is my first Mustang... She's kinda Dead ...but I dunno that she knows it yet lol When she lived after death in the garage ..... an no the lights were not on in that pic lol... I blame it on that theory that cameras see things we don't lol Here is her current state, Sittin in the garage awaiting the King of Windsors to revive her This is my wifes 84 before we got it my sisters boyfriend was ... mistreating it back then So now it too is dead just not as dead as mine lol We bought the car after he was done beating on it drove it home moved it one time from front to the back side and it has sat since Here's my 01. My Mom bought the car new drove it till she bought her 06 then it sat for about a year. one day she called me said come to her house. I did and was handed the keys to the car and told to take it home. This pic was taken after I removed the offending spoiler and installed the earlier model wheels I painted black. Our work Monster Old Red, a 92 F150. Was bought brand new by an old man. He passed his kids got the truck but didn't want it and I guess ya know the rest. has about 82000 miles on it right now. Had about 80 when we got it a few years back .... We rarely drive the old thing. Its only used as a work truck and my bad weather car

Hehe Keith We always say its the Evil in her showing. I always thought the pic of the lights was funny because if ya notice the driver side foglight is off center .... Thats due to me loosing grip on a wrench under my old Teflon van and it flew out my hand. Caught that foglight just right and blew that lense out ... Blowing the theory that its light reflecting off the lenses out the water lol

Keith if I put that bow back on after I get her built it'll have to be bolted on won't no twist tie be able to hold it down with a 351W generating violence behind it Steve the Notch is gonna be all kinda slow ... it's only got a 4 banger and wife won't let me even put a 302 in it .... Oh well Guess it'll be my 82s little b..... Oh I can't say that lol

Why don'tcha find one of those '87-88 T-Bird Turbo Coupe drivetrains, they put out 190 crank HP (I'd replace that arret turbo with something else when it let loose...For dbought the rightsto that unit and almost doubled the price of replacements several years ago),AND they're much easier to find that wrecked SVO Musatngs...AND she'd still be happy, have her MPG and you'd have a lil fun ;D

....MPG She could care less bout its MPG she wants it all original .... Boring and .........slow. I've tried to convince here to let me slightly restomod it, A light lowering some Pony rims new brakes a turbo ..... but nooooooo only Mod I can convince her of is power windows. She says Mine is the total monster so she wants hers to be all innocent. Oh well she has no control over my 82. hehe 351W factory 4 barrel engine gonna start stock with a new Edlebrock intake and carb eventually gonna stroke her ....Ya know make her happy hehe. Car will be for sure lowered in the front not sure of the rear yet. Running 16 inch 87 Turbo Coupe rims for cruising. gonna cage the inside for structure then throw some factory burgundy paint at her, and put all her original GLX badging back on

The turbo-4 was available in mid-80's Mercury Cougars, Capris, and Lynx. Also, the Merkur import from Germany had this engine. The basic 4 cylinder block was a modification of the old Pinto engine, beefed up to handle a turbo. They were produced in Brazil along about the time these Cougar XR/7, Turbo Coupe 'Birds, and the like were being sold. Here's a Merkur xr4ti: www.cardomain.com/ride/3230590/1986-merkur-xr4tiClick on the link. There are a couple nice pics there with one shot of the engine.

LOL! I've seen (in magazines) some of those turbo 2.3L's that scream, and wring the tires off! The ones I had was '87 and '88 T-Bird turbo coupes, one automatic one 5 speed (didn't own em at the same time). The auto was good because you could brake torque before launch just enough to preload the turbo, but it was bad cause...well,it was an automoatic,LOL! That 5 speed car had more boost from the factory,so it was faster, but not by a wide margin. Easy to mod and bulletproof...well,the engine was, that Garette turbo (mispelt I know),the one specific to those cars in those year, was the weak point AND the most expensive part.
Those Merkurs were nice,SVO-ish rides, and didn't sell really well for Ford, but there's a following for em,they handled really well for the breed, and were all...European-ish. They also had another model (besides the xR4ti),a sedan, but I neither remember it's name, and they were...another mid-80's boring sedan,LOL!
