Hey guys, I consider this as a small project on its own but it will go to "Cheers !" once finished. Today I was preparing the killed German soldier figure for the finishing with oils. At the same time I was thinking why not to try to make a more dramatic figure, gunned down while he was trying to get rid of the shooting parachutists ? So I gave it a go and took the spare box for figures. Puzzling, carving, cementing, adjusting, finetuning different parts for the basic pose of this unfortunate feller...I love it to be honest, especially when I can assemble an entire figure without a lot of sculpting. This one for example, and I'm pretty happy with it as it almost came together like a kit ! I used a nice Hornet head with open mouth, carved the neck into the right angle and glued it onto the corrected torso. I did the same to legs and arms. Next to do is to fill the seams, add extra detail to the uniform, make more 'sag' in the clothing (particularly the right leg, the knee has to touch the ground). I'll sculpt his right hand to btw, it needs a twisted whrist. Best regards !

Thank you fellers, I'm slightly reworking the right leg as the knee needs to touch the ground in this position. See you !

Ozbro, I have a box filled with figure parts and when I have a clear picture in my mind of what I want I start puzzling, filing, cutting and carving until things moreless fit, I then glue everything together. Gaps are then filled and folds shaped where necessary.

Ouch! I got a serious pain in the gut looking at that. His facial expression sure helped me feel the pain. That's the sign of a true Master.
