Thanks Bruce, the modulation method is perfect for a WOT look. The German figure is now almost done and next week I'll start the paintwork.

Hey buds, today the interior of the 38T was given a white layer (Tamiya acrylic X1). It's not much but it's a start.   More colorification soon. Best regards ! AG. |

I'm glad Bruce joined this GB ! And I love his subject ! With the white sprayed on it was time for a wash consisting of ultramarine blue and burnt umber. The Germans called this offwhite Elfenbein. I decided to not overdo the interior with chipped paint and wear as these tanks were thrown into battle and got destroyed before the crews could possibly add a single scratch. The turret interior was probably dark yellow but I decided to go for the same offwhite as the hull interior. I believe it will stand out more this way and after all, it's WOT so... The 2cm gun was painted with Humbrol grey/blue and a bit of metal pigment was added to the paint mixture. Once dry you can polish it up just for fun. It's another approach and this is the time to experiment.  |
