Recently, someone posted in another thread about something not being in a kit box that was sealed. Have any others of you experienced that?
Could be that the box art depicts something other than what the parts in the box would build, or maybe there were some parts missing.
For example, I have an AMT 1992 Ford F-150 kit that was sealed, but when I tore off the plastic wrap, and opened the box, I found the entire chrome sprue was not there!! And, AMT told me they couldn't help because that run was over!!
post your misrepresented findings here, folks!!

I opened a Revell kit of a Rail Dragster and found a few pieces melted. Like the rear spoiler was ruined. Called Revell, but they said it was too late to call on it. Even when you brake the seal, its hard to tell if something is damaged or missing in the bags.

I bought a Revell Porsche GT1 a few years back...the body was warped big time.....the place I got from gave me my $ back....so bought a few modeling supplies with my refund from him instead of another kit I didn't need anyway !

I've had a couple kits in the past that looked like the mold didn't get enough plastic shot into it.

These are the reasons why I open every model, so I know when bought I can call and try to resolve the problems, if any are found. Older kits are a crap shoot though anything can be messed up in an older sealed kit.

A very good reason to rip celloplane!! I usually do, but lately I haven't done it. I once bought an AMT '65 Pontiac Bonneville kit, and the body was warped, but I was able to build it anyway, and everything turned out well.
