Yesterday late afternoon, I was in the truck stop diner to eat. Some really bad pain hit me on my right side chest area.
I thought kidney stones again.
After a cat scan, I have masses in my liver. No idea yet if it is cancer.
I will be home soon . I am leaving a lot of my stuff from my truck at our terminal in Kansas City,MO. Then getting on the train home.
Before I get home, I am going to try and register with the VA. Hopefully that will be beneficial for me as far as care and costs go.

Got you in my thoughts and prayers Chad! I don't know where you live so I can't comment on your local VA clinic/hospital but I use the one in Iowa City which is fantastic and I hear the Madison WI. one is great also so hopefully yours will be as good. Hines in Chicago from what I hear is getting better but a lot of the local vets around here aren't all that thrilled about it. BTW - What took you so long to get registered in the VA  !! |

I had a friend who had lesions on her liver caused by excessive alcohol over the years she was a bartender, but when she quit drinking they went away without surgery... hope its something simple to fix like that one... |

I had thought that the VA hospital was just for service related medical issues.
On Wednesday, I am going to go to our county VA and see what they say

After being out of the service for 50 yrs I joined the VA last yr and it was a very good experience with the VA staff .
They ran a battery of test and take care of my drugs after a co-pay .

So much for leaving today. When I got to the station, I had twenty minutes or so before the train departed.
I never heard the announcement for it. Not even a final boarding call.
Around 8, I asked about the train.
Thankfully the ticket agent got me tickets for tomorrow. I rven got a $25 refund, as the new tickets are a bit cheaper.
