Thanks chaps, I blocked in the main colours today using vallejo and used lighter tones to act as highlights once the oils go on. A day or so to let the paint fully cure and I should be cracking out the oil paints.

Sweet job! I'm curious though, weren't the pants used in that British uniform white? I seem to remember white for some reason; although, I may be remembering a different uniform from a similar time period.
