Thanks gents. Sadly I forgot who on the old board told me to use Tamiya deck tan, heavily thinned. That made a difference vs the buff.

So what's the fictional designation on this this, Chad? A diesel M10 hull with Pershing turret and HVSS ought to be given an Ordnance designation after Gun Motor Carriage (90mm) M36; maybe M36B3? The straight M36 was the Ford-engined initial version, the M36B1 the small batch on the M4A3 Wet Stowage hull, and the M36B2 rebuilds of the diesel M10s sometimes with E9 suspension. To my logical and pedantic mind, M36B3 sounds about right!
