Not being an expert, that looks pretty good to me. I'll have to say though, I think the tracks are a little weak detail wise. And that surprises me, Academy stuff is usually pretty good.

The tracks, drivers and a few other parts will be compromised because they have been blagged from Academy's sister offering which is motorised, you can see they both the track and drivers have grooves so they mesh together. Aftermarket 1/48 M60 stuff is rarer than rare, don't invest in AM tracks UNLESS they come with drive sprockets too as they wont fit the kit parts. Fingers crossed Tamiya R&D department are reading this thread and have a new tool 1/48 M60 with RISE passive armour on their list to compliment their latest Modern Armour subjects. Until then of course, Jed leads the way...

Well, as Mence explained at least we now know why the tracks and the drivers are the way they are.

Robbo I think it's the only option I have really,I'm thinking of PVAing them to give them some stiffness for painting. Armorguy large scale vehicles are not really my cup of tea but it was too good an offer to miss, time will tell if I have it or not but hey what's life without a challenge or risk!

That's looking very good, Jed. Did the kit come with upper return rollers for the tracks? If so I may have an easy fix for you to improve them.
