Ever since I was here in Nevada, my cell phone and internet service from Verizon had been great. Earlier today at breakfast, I was trying to look over e-mails and Facebook. I noticed it was a real slow connection.
Then later on, I would be talking on my phone, and the call would be dropped. The lady in our safety dept. left a message on my voicemail. Oddly, my phone never rang. I was finally able to see the internet a little bit, and found out where a Verizon store was. At that point I am thinking that something was wrong with the service in this area.
I gave them a call, and they had me doing some checks and other things on my phone. The last thing they told me to do, she said she would try to call me. No call ever got through to me. So, I called for a taxi to take me to a Verizon store. I got there. The manager asked how can I help you. I asked to see Beth, as that is who I talked to on the phone.
No Beth worked there. I then told her of my problem. That is when she told me they were having problems with the cell towers since 6 AM.
I am not the smartest man alive. But why this Beth could not have told me that over the phone is a mystery to me.
At least it is back to normal now.
