The ol' black widow is such a timeless kit!!! I built one years ago and my son built one two years ago... I love the design of these big birds!! Im in for sure!!!

Thanks all!
I sprayed all the innards with zinc chromate which makes things dramatically easier to see...might spray the rest with gray primer if only so I can more easily make out the details I need to accentuate...black is very dark to work with...

Exactly...and also I'm modelling off to the side of where I usually work as I'm in the midst of building a room length shelving unit for displaying finished models so a lot of them are sitting on the bench for now- and where I am currently doesn't have the best lighting which makes it all the more difficult.
