This is AMT's '50 Chevy. Painted with Krylon Fusion Maroon. The kit was molded in a very light tan plastic so that gave me an idea. I took the bed floor, which had the woodgrain molded in, and used an arts and crafts acrylic paint called cocoa with a swab and dry-brushed the highlights. When that was dry, I took actual Minwax stain called "Honey Oak", and spread it over the entire surface. The Minwax didn't react with either the plastic or the acrylic paint. When that was dry, I covered it with clear urethane for the shine. The rest was basic assembly, and everything fit really well. Again I hope you like

Darrin, This is a well built, well detailed & painted rep of a 50 chev p/u. Your clean build of this makes this model a stand out. 8-)RICK

This is absolutely beautiful!!! Better than a new 1:1! Back in the early years, the factories didn't put out their best efforts on the lowly utilitarian pickup truck. By the way...you have a PM(Personal Message)

That is nice, like he said! better turned out than a new one it's a coincidence as i part started a 50 3100 and am thinking about re starting it, it was a "snap fit" kit, still trying to decide wether to do it kustom or weather it you've made a really good job of this one, well done

A real life truck in this condition would win an antique car show, I'm thinkin'!! Popeye...drag that sucka out and finish it! We can't have too many old, fat-fendered trucks around here. (And put LEDs in it!)
