Question for ya'all: do you have a particular glue you use for the clear plastic? Mine seem to not look so good (like on the F-16).

Testors is what I use also Bucky and it dries nice and clear... you can also use future to stick in windows, when it dries it is rock hard but takes a while to set... I prefer the Testors!!!

This weekend I went to our town’s “Fly-in, Cruise In”. Combination classic car show/air show. The air show was a bit flat in my opinion but I enjoyed the classic cars. I saw 3 1953 F-100s like the one I’m building. I also stopped and talked for over 30 min each to owners of a 1953 GMC 3100 and a 1956 Fairlane. I started off getting pics of interiors, engines etc for future model reference.
Once I get them posted to my website, I’ll share a link. My highlight didn’t hit until I got home. I didn’t know what I was looking at when I was there, but saw a rare 1968 Mercury Cougar GTE 7.0. The guy had removed the stock 7.0 (504CI) engine and dropped in an 8.1L (524CI) engine generating 720 HP. Sweet Car!

I will have ya’all some pics of this truck later in the week. I went out and got a Molotow chrome pen and added some chrome highlights to this truck. Like I said, this one is going slow. I have to install the interior goodies but the dash and instrument panel are gonna be tricky. I also decided to go a different way with the wheels (after I already glued one set of hub caps on it). I made this decision wen the “custom” hubcaps just wouldn’t sit right on the wheels.
