Love that movie Ben! Always thought it would be cool to pull out Daniel's last move on my high school bullies, but when I would practice, I always looked like a walrus having a siezure! haha!

Houston, we have a problem! The last coat of my dark blue is lighter than the others. I mixed it all properly (must not have or something). I was really going for a darker effect so looking at other options. Am thinking I may take this paint all off and go for a midnight blue metallic or something.

Sometimes a color will change when the paint is dry. You might give it a couple days, and see what it does.

Each layer will change the color deeper normally...

Just remember, humidity can play a part in it, too. Sometimes, paint will look cloudy until it cures out all the way. There are all kinds of unwanted 'tricks' to laying down a paint job!

I’ll try letting it sit! Thanks for the suggestions!

Well I for one don't see any color difference. Maybe it's just me. I think it looks great so far.

Thanks guys! For me the brush painting and perfecting that technique is being born out of necessity right now. No money or time to go another route right now. Perhaps later in the year I'll be able to start looking at airbrushing, but until then, I have to be perfect on the brushing!

I'm honestly not sure if I will. Will just see. I do kinda enjoy the brushing...makes me slow down and concentrate on something besides code, computers, etc.

I seem to be stuck on the spray cans. Brushes for detail and weathering. I have an airbrush, but have never used it.

I use an airbrush all the time, mainly because I suck so badly at brush painting.

I'm a bit like Ernie; I airbrush most all my parts. I do okay with brush painting, but I reserve that for the smaller parts and difficult to reach areas. With all my brush painting experience in the past, I still could never get a smooth finish on a gloss paint. I commend you on that.

Thanks Ben. That iPhone camera though, sure does show things sometimes I didn't notice when I looked at it. This week has been about the finishing touches, so I'm polishing up the paint on my cars. Still haven't decided on a graphics theme for this truck, but hope to have it polished up and assembled at least this weekend.
