Many of you will know this from elsewhere; for those who don't it's synopsis time

Kit supplied tanks (the black one) were toylike so some scratching was needed (the white ones)

All chrome plating was stripped for a variety of reasons, here's some rims done in Alcad polished aluminum over Model Master acrylic gloss black

And now, other than the improvements needed to keep this from looking like a toy, the first big snag. The cab sits too far back when dryfit as can be seen by the fender/tire and the cab door/battery box step relationships.

It will be necessary to move the cab .150-.200" forward to correct this. To save the pain of undoing I'll permanently mount the hood and just move the cab up so it meets correctly.
Not a bad kit by eighties standards but is extremely basic; needs a lot of help
Regards, Mark

Everything is looking great, so far. I know you'll figure out the setback problem. Thanks for posting this LARGE model for us, Mark!

It's got a lot of that workhorse grime on it!! The big trucks where i used to work were always clean on the outside, but under the hood looked like ancient history! Those engines never got a cleaning!

Those engines never got a cleaning! Driving for a farm with all the grain dust and 'bee's wings' we had to wash and clean our trucks once a week.

Thank you all gents
A bit of thought, grinding, filing and fitting after work has led to the coachwork playing nice at last
Dryfit

Trucks have stuff everywhere under the hood, no telling what you'll see even between identical makes and models. Therefore I decided to fill in a blank spot on the right frame rail with some filter heads and lines

Gotta head to the LHS as I've run out of black paint
