After finishing the '34 Ford Tow Truck, I had these yellow parts left over: I didn't really want to toss them, so I thought I'd add some white stuff to the mix. I made up this frame. Fits pretty well. I grabbed this axle from a gasser kit. It turned out, all I needed was the springs! I made the axle from styrene tube, and the u-bolts from brass wire. It has a nice stance, I think. In Jeff's honor, I have wheels on sticks! I chucked the tires in the Dremel and wore down the tread. Good ol' flat black on the frame. More later, dudes!

Always hated to throw parts away, and the spare parts box is getting full!! Thought this might look decent behind a pickup....or Cadillac!!!

Thanks, Mr. Foster! I didn't like the molded on hinge at the bottom of the tailgate: So, I applied the razor saw to it. The pieces on the right are for a functional hinge. I also removed the molded in chains, and added some actual chain to hold the tailgate when it is opened: The frame has been lightly weathered with Rustall, and the bed painted in TESTORS Blue with a light brown tailgate: More to come!

Thanks, guys! One good thing about using random stuff from the parts bin is that you can try different things on them without risking the ruination of an expensive kit! Less things get tossed against the wall, that way!!

I put a good dose of Rustall on the frame: I cut a piece of sheet styrene to go in the bed. I painted it with TESTORS Steel, and used Rustall and Weatherall, with a little dirt tossed in: Calling this finished. Now, I have a little room on the bench!
