I started this one a long time ago and got tired of it due to its ill fit and I don't like painting metallic's as they get all over everything in the spray booth and are a mess to clean up . So as a finale push I sanded the previous silver paint off the entire model and removed as many rivets as I could endure sanding off . I used Model Mater Primer to seal it and re painted it with Floquil Bright Silver , an old railroad color. Its an old bottle of paint but it was on the shelf . I dint want to spend the money for a newer version of aluminum paint which I know would look better . This is close enough for me on this kit . If it was a better kit I would have used a better paint product . I want this shelf queen finished . I sealed it with a few coats of Future . The kit box. The sand down . There was black primer under the silver . After repaint and a couple of coats of Future . uploaded photoNext there is some flat black panels and the anti glare panel in front of the cockpit to paint . Be patient as I'm not fast .

What a trip. I remember seeing one of these on static display somewhere near Ft. MacArthur, near Channel Island, Long Beach area way back in the late 60's, early 70's. My Dad retired a full bird and we use to go to the officer's club for lunch with his reserve unit. I'm thinkin that was where I saw it, was always amazed at it. Fine work so far Mr. Carl!

Great experience you had ! Never seen it in person but remember it being a big deal when I was a kid so when the re-issue of this kit came out I picked it up at my favorite store the "White Elephant" .
