Lmao... Bruce, there is a section called security logs which shows all changes made on the site so any of the admin can check on any changes and know who made them... keeps us all honest...

It's an interesting one, posts and the counting of them I mean.
I belong to forums other than this such as for my particular make of car, classic two strokes, greyhound welfare etc. etc., all have post counts.
BUT, a number have disabled the function with moderators claiming that they would prefer quality of posts over sheer quantity. Sure we all like praise and comments against what we do and achieve but are we all sometimes posting just so we see our personal little number rack up?
Agreed it's a way of visibly tracking activity but surely there's something in the programming background that does that?
Just a thought...sorry, those who are keen on huge post counts feel free to delete.

No need to delete, Prof. You have a very valid point! I am a member of the Imperial Owners Club forum, and if you even mention anything not related to the Imperial, or large Chrysler automobile, ADMIN will scold the pants off you, and start quoting rules. I didn't want this site to be that stiff, or rigid. I've always had a light-hearted nature, and like to kid around, sometimes to a fault! All this banter about post counts is just a way of keeping things loose, and poking at one another. I feel that each and every one of your posts are high quality, and am extremely happy that you have joined the site!  |

Mence, I feel the same myself sometimes. It is nice to have a lot of posts, but I do try to make all mine as quality as possible. That way; if and when I do get commended for the number of them, I know that they are all worthy of the commendations. It feels good to accomplish something, but when I do I want it to be something quality myself.
Keith, your do well to keep this lighthearted and loose. It makes this place worth coming to. The banter and jokes may add to the post count but anything that brings a smile and/or a laugh is well worth reading and enhances the feeling of family.

Just kidding Prof and Mark... it's just funny how some enjoy the counts and who is ahead but I've also seen others who get mad that they can't keep up... my take has never been about the counts except in joking with the troops, I post lots as an Admin to keep threads moving along and to let the originator know I care about their work... yeah there's also lots off fun banter between one or two but that is just friends enjoying time together... I don't even think about the counts till we tease about them! Lol!!! Enjoy the forum and the fellowship and I'll hit 28,000 in no time, lol!!!
