Painted some chipping fluid on the main body today and once that dried, flat white. Then wet it with water and started chipping so the green would come though. I like where it's going. Hopefully tomorrow I can do the turret. You pulled that whitewash and the chipping off nicely Joe. What is this chipping fluid that you used and how do you use it?

Mig of Ammo Heavy Chipping Fluid. It is a clear thick acrylic fluid you airbrush over your base color. Once it dries you paint your acrylic color of choice over it, let dry for 10 minutes. Then you moisten the area with water and brush with a stiff brush where you want it chipped off, you can also add scratches with a toothpick. If you wait too long it becomes harder to remove so only do small areas at a time. This is why I am doing the turret separately. There are youtube videos on using it. This would work well on a car you wanted rust showing through or scratches. I will be using it on an old truck down the road. Hope that helps Joe.

I'll be picking some of that stuff up as I'm looking at doing an armor build within the foreseeable future.

This is looking pretty cool so far Joe. I've gotta say that I was a little surprised to see the blue uniforms but the Russians had some pretty unorthodox ideas going on in those days. lol

I've gotta say that I was a little surprised to see the blue uniforms but the Russians had some pretty unorthodox ideas going on in those days. lol They were dark blue coveralls early in the war that they wore in the tank as it was dirty in there with the engines, guns and equipment. The soldiers outside, will be in the tan and creme colors you are probably more familiar with seeing Joe.
