Cheers Guys 😎
Matters arising...
MustangThe thyroid problem is intermittant enough to not really be a worry or worth medicating 🥱 Glad you liked the 110, there's a few more of them in the pipeline and I'll get to them sooner or later, they're mostly the Eduard kits, so a bit more involved than the Hobby Boss jobs...Trying to stick with single and twin engined aircraft of WW2 with this collection, with a few modern jets thrown in when I get sick of prop jobs.
Jed Cheers - proves my brain still works (wasn't looking forward to folding up brass skirt brackets at all, let alone playing with brass skirts ! 🙄
P40 now looks thusly...
Haven't painted the canopy yet, also need to rust the exhaust stacks, fit the gear doors and main gear wheels and not forgetting throw its decals at it (not necessarily in that order !) Might go its decals next. Whichever way I go with it, it should be done by close of play tonight and then its Spitfire time ! 😆

Anybody who flew a Messerschmitt I'd guess ! 🙄😆
Lotsa bods don't like em for various reaseons - me I'm addicted to them ! (36 in the collection in 72nd when I moved up here, many more now, but I'm not counting) 🥱
Oh look 1,000 posts - not counting, only noticed because I'm no longer a Forum Friend (or should that be Fiend ?) 😈
Best M of WW and still not counting...😉🙃

Excellent work so far, with the crew off to a roaring start for the new year, despite management's health issues. I'm thrilled you got it all resolved. Looking forward to seeing more.

Cheers Mark, more coming (about to come) down the line as I type this.. 😈
I wasn't wrong re the P-40, its dun, just needs its gear bay doors and radio aerial and a quick spritz of clear flat and I'm calling her dun 😲
Gloss clear coat (to seal the decals) still wet on that one ! soon as it dries, on go the gear bay doors and radio mast and she's enroute to the shelf of finished...🥱
Eduard Weekend Edition Spitfire VIII up next, starting later tonight, hope to get the cockpit assembly dun before I knock off for the evening.😎

Cheers Joe,👍
Was worried re the decals, they looked shot on the sheet, but came away after a soaking in hot water, they were rather brittle, due to their age, but a dose of Mark Softer made them sit down as if painted on. If that's the kit I think it is, its come back to me from my mate and according to my records, I bought it on a sale in Sydney just after xmas in 2001 ! No wonder the decals were brittle ! 😳
Spitfire may or may not start today, dunno, not really feeling like muddling today (another hot and sticky, almost sleepless night endured 🥱
Best M of uncaffeinated at present (which might be the answer) ☕️☕️

Something will be dun at (or to) the desk today sometime, I've been meaning to get to (or at) it for awhile you see...🙄
Can't say better than that at present 🥱
Seem to be having trouble waking up properly, despite having had 4 cups of coffee (one at a time as prescribed by Dr Joe)...☕️
4 cups in a row is my limit these days... 😳

Didn't say it was unproductive...🥱
Just didn't feel like muddlin at all today, as it happens., the factory got rearranged, the desk was moved to across the end of the room and got a 4ft extension (or will do tomorrow, (gotta take 1 ft off the previously fitted 5ft top).. the top on the 5ft part of the desk is now 2ft 6in wide and the extension will (as previously explained) be 4ft x 2ft with white laminex all round and serve as a paint booth pics tomorrow, when its dun. Might even cop a 2ft something by 2ft extension at the RH end, just to fill a small gap there, which is annoying me (might squeeze a bookshelf in there to hold my colour scheme books for Aircraft and AFV's
The desk is being rigged/configged for 35th AFV production, so all Aircraft related tools that have no real use in 35th, have been put away 72nd aircraft will do for playing with in breaks from 35th, No challenge to them whatsoever, and its very easy to build a huge (numbers wise), collection of the things. I've already disposed of two collections worth (over 2000 per collection) of 72nd aircraft in the past, I have photos of most of the last collection on an external drive and they'll do to remind me of how stupidly easy it is to amass a huge collection of them. No challenge whatsoever to achieve numbers like that in 72nd. 😈
Might grab a few 48th Aircraft, just for a bitta fun, gawd knows where I'm going to put/store the finished articles though..On second thought, maybe not. 🙄

Post by WardWorks on Jan 16, 2024 12:53:13 GMT -6
Still going today (ran out of strength, moving things round the joint). Plenty of sore muscles today
At least I got a good nights sleep. If such rearranging leaves me as wrecked as I feel today I don't think there'll be any more.
Persisting Pickhandles outside too, can't say we didn't need some rain.

Highly unlikely - these days I know when to stop ! I'd have kept going in my yoof and I'd be paying for it for weeks in terms of muscle soreness. Had a nice hot shower after I arose this morning and I'm in no pain today..😆
Hetzer's still in the paint shop awaiting final call on its camo scheme, so I'm starting somethinhg else in 35th today, possibly Dragon's late StuG IV 🤔
Best M of Ww Back in 35th again (my eyes cannot thank me enough !) 😎
