Unfortunately the good idea wasn't all that good, the theory was fine, but the equipment I had in mind couldn't do the job and I cannot afford the equipment that could do the job... WardShips is therefore a non-starter, WardRail ,however, may well prove to be an entirely different matter... we shall see. 😈
Best M of thunkiing off the rails (or outside the box, its less limiting) 😉🙃

I agree, I love the rails and can't wait to see how things go there.

It DOES sound interesting and I'm a bit further ahead on that than I first thought 😈.. (I thought there was malice aforethought in the construction of something I built at the beginning of last year, I'm not sure if that was why I built it the way I did), however, what I built will do admirably for the purpose...🤔
I'm still mulling over the possibilities, I'll letcha know if anything happens on that front as and when. Health wise, I'm still not up for handling paint/glue fumes just yet, so there's still nothing happening on the desk..😴
Sorry 'bout that folks ! 🤧
Best M of slowly recovering 😉🙃

Cheers folks ! 👍
I'll probably return to the desk tomorrow, amazing how a break works, I no longer have the "schmitts with Messers", so I'll be working on a pair of 109 E-4's in Battle of Britain markings, one of them is the new Special Hobby job, which comes with several nice colour schemes and the relevant markings for each in the kit, so that one will feature the classic "hellhound" of Jg 26 under its cockpit as well as another (which will be markings supplied in the Special Hobby kit on an ICM E-4) will be built simultaneously/in parallel with the Special Hobby kit. The Eduard FW190 can wait a while (I have plans afoot for a geschwader of 190 variants, featuring Eduard Weekend, Hasagowa and Tamiya kits for the A/F190 series, Tamiya Academy and IBG for the D Series and Dragon for the Ta 152 variants (might even do the Revell Ta-152, which is the lovely old Frog kit reboxed).I have most of those kits in stock, so when I've caught up with the rest of them, I'll get back onto the 190's...
Railways will happen eventually, but they're on a very slow backburn schedule, very much as and when Ifeel like it, nothing like a rush job. 😈
Best M of nearly back to normal styrene slinging. 😉🙃

Does, doesn't it ?
I don't usually discuss or make plans, most people know I'm not at all good at sticking to plans, no matter how solid such plans may be

Sounds like you have a lot of ideas percolating! I always thought plans and instruction sheets were mere points of suggestion, to be taken lightly!

Cheers Folks 👍
With 72nd Aircraft, you get to a point where you've built so many of them, you can assemble them automatically, the instructions are there only to show you where the little bits (usually in cockpits engine or gun bays), go. Its waaaaay too easy to assemble a collection of 72nds involving stupidly large numbers in fairly quick time. I've scrapped two such collections over the years when I've moved. I don't miss them either !
Back on the desk, the ICM 109E-4 is ready for paint, once the glue dries and a tadge of seam smoothing is done....
Whilst the Special Hobby example has had its internal bits painted...
That's not bad for a couple of hours this morning... Its also where I'm leaving things for today, not feeling all that well, wasn't quite ready for paint or glue fumes I'm afraid.

Thanks Folks - Comments much appreciated 👍
It seems my eyes ain't playing the game properly, So all 72nd projects have been stalled, I was having real problems seeing the smaller bits and colour perception between camo colours (Mid and Dark green atop wings (mid green and Dark grey on the spitfire was just as fraught) is pretty non existant (its ok when the darker colour is wet, but after it dries, everything looks the same shade) so as a result all 72nd aircraft projects have been safely stored in a drawer of stasis. hopefully I'll get them finished around xmas, just as a diversion (assuming my eyes haven't deteriorated further) 🤬
I'll be back on 35th vehicles shortly, the Dragon Late StuG IV is around somewhere stored safely, (so safely that I cannot find the thing !) 🤯 Search parties are out searching for the original search parties sent out to look for the thing weeks ago ! 😲
Meantime, I've a 35thTakom StuG III or two to play with and a Panzer IV or two I've been meaning to get to as well, I MIGHT have put in an order for some 35ths with BNA as well, If I did put the order in, I'll post what arrives when it arrives in the latest grabs forum.
That's the way it is at The Works this week, sorry there's nothing to show everybody, but there's always next week.
Best An almost recovered M of WW 😉🙃

Yup.... steady as she goes mon Capitan...
The 72nds have been removed from the display area and into boxes and stored safely, the display area looks rather empty at present (last year's 35ths were boxed and stored over the xmas break), I've run across the Italeri Hetzer, which only needs a touchup on its roadwheels and its tracks painted, decals and weathering to complete, so that's the next project. I've also found the long searched for Dragon late StuG IV (forgot where I'd put it and suddenly remembered where it was late last night - went straight to it !) and decided it can stay unfinished for the moment, other 35th projects have intervened, they've all been hanging about for way too long...
BNA have advised me that they're currently out of 4 of the kits I ordered, so I can either have a refund or wait a couple of weeks until the restock of those kits arrive. I'm happy to wait, (got more than enough going on round the place at present) no dramas on that front... The existing desk is now the paint desk, the new factory desk has been established and will get some styrene bashing action shortly.
Best M of WW 😉🙃
